Please take a look at these dogs. Notice how they are all different in their own special ways. Each has their own individual talent and characteristics.
Away from the world, locked in their assigned cages. These dogs are not able to go for walks on their own, they only leave the cages on command or with the supervision of a human adult.
When visitors stop by, there are usually children too. They observe the puppies, choose the one that appeals to them most. Cute and small noses with floppy ears and soft fur, who wouldn't like a puppy?
Pain and loneliness has been a huge part of these dogs' lives before and whilst in the shelter. If they are lucky, they get to share a cage with a buddy, otherwise they are forced to be alone until adoption.
Rainy and cold winters are very uncomfortable and painful when you have no warm blankets or friends to cuddle with. If lucky, they get donations from generous souls that care.
In the office, at the front desk, is probably the most exciting part for a dog. Getting a feeling inside, that he might finally be able to live under a roof rather than a metal plank.
Nobody can resist a puppy-dog face, unless you have no heart or soul within you to care. These dogs need and care for you more than they care about themselves.
Turn around and look at that dog again, the first time you glanced, you ignored his whole life. Observe further and look into his past, now make the decision of walking away or staying.
